jasonkhong.com: Exploring a Flat World /articles/2006/05/01/learning-typo en-us 40 Exploring a Flat World Exploring a Flat World
This message is a test, the REAL post would actually explain what’s the Flat World, and why I’m blogging… Eventually.

It’s interesting to consider that the high-tech non-blogger is choosing a blogging software to enter the world of Ruby on Rails ;)

I think its Ps Kenneth who says, 2 things that influence you the most are the friends you hang around with, and the books you read.

Both these are influencing this typo-thingy you see. Firstly, I’m hanging around bloggers a bit too much ;) “It’s like a virus”, indeed! As soon as I figure out an interesting way to link to friend’s sites, you’ll see the chain of this viral infection.

Of course, I’m too stubborn to be influenced by just one factor. The other vector is ”The World is Flat”, by Thomas Friedman. The book speaks of the power of widespread uploading in flattening the world. I guess the only way to truly understand is to start flattening the world myself.

Add on the fact that I’m trying hard to master Ruby On Rails, curiosity about Google Summer of Code (typo is part of the approved projects! Yay! Adium too. I’m gonna try to have fun with them), my dearest sis saying she actually spends time reading blogs (shock), my cousins who blog (what??!)… The world IS flattening, I might as well get on board.

I’ll soon by exploring areas of my interests here:

Expect to see many comments on codes, coding, etc. No better place to collect feedback on code than on the Intarweb.

Life notes, stuff I learn that I probably should share – this will come on when I figure out how to protect my privacy and security online.

Dive Blog! My long overdue dive blog needs a home that I can work on. And I need to save up to go diving again soon.

Other random stuff, well, whatever else that comes up as I start exploring this flat world.

We’ll see where this goes. God bless :)
Mon, 01 May 2006 13:01:00 +0800 urn:uuid:2880025d-9259-49fb-804d-b7cedddf46ae Jason Khong http://jasonkhong.com/articles/2006/05/01/learning-typo Code Life typo thoughts
