...then the Lord will take care of me

:-)

Sometimes I wonder, what people think, when they see crazy Christians who seem to live with their heads in the air*.

I must seem like one of those irritating eternal optimist sometimes.

But still, I just want to declare, with just absolute joy and confidence, that truly my God will take care of me!

No, my life isn’t perfect. I came to understand this verse because of some pretty challenging stuff… Maybe I’ll explain when I’m free, but for now, I just want to smile :-) Sometimes it takes troubles before we can see God’s faithfulness in our lives. My life, at least. Yours too, if you take the time to look.

:-)

*But hey, my feet’s still on the ground, no worries.

God Knows Better! :)

I’m writing this down, to remind myself, that when I pray, I really have to remember to trust God. He definitely knows better than I do.

Just this morning, on the way to school, I was making a (long overdue) appointment for “regular” maintenance of my car, with a Toyota service center near school.

I knew it would be tough to get my car serviced this week, because this weekend is a long weekend, and many people would be sending their cars for checkup before traveling. So I prayed.

Prayed specifically that I would be able to send my car in tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday. Wednesday is best, because I have a 5 hour break between classes, so I can go pick up my car then. Tuesday is ok, because class starts at 9am.

The lady on the phone said… “Thursday is the earliest”. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. Thursday class starts at 8am. And there’s CampusCity in the afternoon. I said yes anyway, but quite reluctantly. Toyota only opens at 8am, so I’ll have to miss my first class. I thought my Father in heaven would know difficult it would be…

And He did. Right after I ended the call, I suddenly realized, that I have a 2 hour break after the 8am Thursday class. Just perfect to send in the car. And, I could follow Jane to CampusCity (thanks, Jane!), and have someone send me to the service center after CampusCity.

Not only that, I also found out later that I have a mid-semester exam on Tuesday morning. And, I have a bunch of errands to run on Wednesday during the 5 hour break.

I feel pretty embarrassed for feeling “disappointed” earlier. I’m sorry, Lord. Thanks for answering my prayer according to Your ways, not mine.

Guess that’s why we ask ”Your will be done”. :-)
